Neurolink is an independent, fan-made companion app for Neuroscape. This page explains what data the app handles, and what it deliberately doesn't.

When you scan a card, the photo is captured, cropped, and matched against the card database entirely on your device — the image is never uploaded anywhere as part of identifying a card. The photo is saved in the app's private storage (not your Camera Roll) so you can review the scan later; you can clear it from within the app.
The one exception: if you tap Report on a scan that came back wrong, that specific photo is sent to our own server along with a few technical details (which card was detected vs. which one you say it should have been, the recognition model version, app version, and platform) so we can improve card recognition. This is tied to a random identifier generated for your install — not your account, name, or device identity.

No advertising, and no ad networks.
No location data collected.
We don't sell your data, to anyone, ever.
Neurolink asks for camera access solely to scan physical cards. It's used only while you're actively scanning, and as described above, images are processed on-device unless you explicitly choose to report a misdetection.
You can browse the card catalog and scan cards without an account. Signing in unlocks syncing your collection across devices and participating in community collections (wish lists, trade binders) — it's a standard azuniverse.net account, not something Neurolink creates or manages separately. Your login session is stored using your device's encrypted credential storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android), not in plain text.
We don't share data with any other third party, and we don't use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
You can delete locally stored scan photos from within the app. To delete your azuniverse.net account and the data associated with it, or to ask us anything about data we hold from a scan report, email sean@templeton.io.
Neurolink is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
